Default full throttle issue

If I am low rpm and give it full throttle the engine will just bog out until I back off full throttle yet of I give full throttle slower it goes fine. This is a real pain when going up hill and need to give it but it will cut right out. Normal trail riding with easy full throttles is fine. Anyone have an idea on when a quick full throttle cuts it out. This is on '83 185s.

BTW, I have tried cleaning the carb out and have tried different mains from 94 to 116 and the same happens.

Default full throttle issue

could be letting too much fuel in at one time and flooding the engine.

When you say you cleaned carb
How
Did you soak in carb cleaner or spray with carb cleaner
I would soak in cleaner as there are small passages that plug and can cause bogging
most common is not enough fuel but a 116 main jet is getting Big
So I would look at soak carb
I would also ckeck all of the basics
Valve adjust
Timing chain adjust
Ignition Timing
Then go back to carb
On my 82
185s
Origionaly had same basic issue
did basics then went back carb much easier to dial in
Good luck
Ray
