Default need a good mud tire

My '83 185s has Kenda Scorpions tires but I find they are not good in mud. On every other surface but mud they perform great. I ride in a very muddy forest and I need to avoid large mud/water areas because it just gets stuck. I need a tire with better mud traction. I know it only 2wd but I should be able to go through at least some mud.

I like ITP mud lites. While there are plenty of other great mud tires out there.
I perfer the mud lites as they hook excellant in mud and work on just about any other surface as well. They also offer a fairly decent ride and they are stout with a 6 ply rating. Best of all, they don`t break the bank. If you wanted to use a cheaper tire the Kenda Dirt Dog is a excellant mud tire also. As is the cheng shin lumberjack. I `ve used these in the past and they hook hard like gangbusters if you keep them spinning fast enough to keep them from clogging. Just go to Dennis Kirk and look up tires under the mud tire list. I`m sure you`ll find the tire you`re looking for.

Cheng Shin C828's aren't a bad mud tire either and at 50 bucks a pop you can't really beat the price...

I have a Lt-F230 with strykers on it. They are cheaper than ITPs.the tires are not too agressive but they will get you there.
this is what they look like
