Default Front axle

hey all i have two of the same trikes.
the one has brand new tires on the rear the other one needs a new front so what i want to do is swap the front rims on the trikes so the one has all brand new tires

now for the problem.
on my older bike the front axle comes right out take off the nut and a few light taps with a hammer and out it comes.

the newer trike off comes the nut and i was beating the hell out of the axle to get it out and NO FUFUUUUSUUCHHSKKFDHH****&*^%#@$#%^& luck
any ideas i soaked everything in lube and waited a hour and still notting. i dont have a torch.

All you can do is try not to get mad
When hitting/tapping on the axle if you have a brass hammer or a piece of brass or copper put that against axle then hit that will do much less damage to axle
Get some liquid wrench and soak let set overnight
Main thing to remember be paitent
Good luck

acetylene torch if you have one and there arent any soft or easy to melt parts down there. heat it NOT to red hot, you don't want to ruin your axle, and then tap it.

well i was looking at it again today and it seems to be rusted
i took the nut off again and when i try to put visegrips on the other end and try to turn the axle it will turn a bit but the brake drum is moving with it. my other bike does not do this the axle will spin.

i soaked it with liquid wrench over night and still notting. i am gonna try a propane torch tonight as that is all that i have.other then that the only other idea that i have is to take my grinder and turn the end in to a bolt head and throw my impact gun back and forth and try and help it along .

spray the liquid wrench on directly after heating it, NOT while you heat it. cause liquid wrench works really well that way, flames will probably erupt a little so just make sure nothing flammable is nearby and it'll burn its self off or you can blow it out, then heat a little again, repeat. this is pretty much how i get a lot of brake drums on cars off, but it works fine for other stuff.

another thing to try is shocking it. get it hot and douse it in cold water.

well this morning i left my propane torch on it for about 20 min and then taped a socket on the end then put my impact gun on it and got it to move and spin but when i tap the other end to get is to come out it does not wanna move i dont know what to do
i am just going to soak it nightly in liquid wrench after heating it with the propane torch and see what happens

the tire does not seem to be that old or dry cracked so it had to been off before

At this point no sense in candy coat
As soon as hit with heat it with heat you are commited to get appart as damage to bearings and seals
So were this my machine I would continue soaking and applying heat and hammer with brass or copper
But I would also begin looking for a new or used axle as my bet is by the time the one you have comes out it will be beyond repair
Honda may still offer
Or I find allot of parts at
Bob's used cycle parts in AZ
602-437-3148
They have allot of part machines and are fair
If they have and you need shipped let me know I may be able to help
good luck
