are the two coils interchangeable? as in could i take the lighting coil out and put it where the stator one should be that makes the spark? i'm never putting a light in so it doesn't matter if i don't have it. I'm trying to see if my stator coil is bad considering I've just replaced the condenser, kill switch, and did the points last year and just gapped them today and still no spark.

i don't think the ignition coil is bad because i have two of them, and they both read 14.50 k ohms, and i doubt two coils would go bad at the same time and read the same ohms.

never mind. got it running. turns out the the points i put in last year were cheap after markets. they busted in a year. i now have a new OEM condenser, points, and have greased the points and rubbing felt as Honda said to. so its going strong.
