Default Need help with spark.

I just got a 78-79 Honda 90 out of a barn, proceeded to clean it up and tried to start it. Pulled the plug and it seams to have weak spark and it seems to spark sometimes at the end of the pull. Any suggestions??? Thanks Mike

Default 110 spark

did it ever run that you've seen? the 110 cdi spark is very hard to see NOT like a fat blue spark like a lawnmower. intermittent spark is usually a ground corrosion issue. make sure the coil is bolted to clean frame etc etc. Thats the easiest place to start

Thanks for the reply, No i never saw it run. When I picked it up the guy had the coil off, he thought it just had a spark issue. I hooked it back up but not bolted on put the plug to the frame and pulled the recoil and did get light spark. After some research it turns out to be a 1975 90 not 78-79 like he told me. So no it still isnt running.

heythere the coil needs to be grounded to the frame with those little srew bolts to complrtr the circuit so make sure you sand or clean the paint and rust off both the frame and the coil so the connect real good
