200 carb ?

Default 200 carb ?

Any body know the purpose of the plastic thing around the main jet in the carb? And do iI really need it, Seems mine kinda crumbled and fell apart just wonderin if I need it. Or can i get by without it. Thanks for any and all.

No you dont need it. I dont have one on mine and it works fine. I think it is a surge protector or somthing like that, but not sure.

Thanks dude I was hope`n that was the case, Didn`t look all that important any way. I`ve pulled apart lots of carbs on dirt bikes and other stuff and never seen one before. This is my first trike though so i wasn`t sure,Thanks again.

Do you guys know where or how I can get the factory settings for the jets and everything for my 200s? I ordered a carb rebuild kit & not sure how tight or loose to adjust everything!!! Thanks!!!

As far as the jets go snug them up but don't overdo it. The pilot screw (air/fuel mixture screw on the underside of the carb) on the other hand, you just screw in until it is LIGHTLY seated and then back off approximately 2 full turns as a good starting point. Then adjust from there.

Even with a rebuild kit I always clean the carb in berrymans or similar carb dip...

I'm not for sure but I just ordered a new one for my 81 honda 200 on amazon for 26 dollars I hope it comes preset lol
