Won't pull start

Won't pull start
I have a 84 200s that won't start by pulling it I have to jump start it, and it won't idle, does anyone know why or what the problem is? And how to fix it any suggestions are appreciated!!! Thanks, Honda 84...

Pull the carb and give it a good cleaning. All the ports must be clear to work. is your spark nice and blue, or yellow? Could make it hard to start. A lot of times the spark plug cap will go bad. check it out>
