I recently had a piece of the oil dipstick break off in to the crankcase, I tore it apart and rebuilt the crankcase but now my kick start is frozen. I've tested to make sure it wasn't the motor. I've taken apart oiled and checked kick start gears but it still is frozen. Every time I take the cover off the kick start gears I hear a click. Ideas on what might be freezing it up?

 

mine did that once it was cause by me not lining the kick start gears up right and when you took it apart well the inter shaft turn

 

What did you do to fix it? I lined my gears up but was still frozen but motor isn't seized.

 

when you lined up the gears where the teeth on top or the bottom on both sides they have to be on top when i did mine i put them in 180 off and they were were on the bottom and when i put it back together right i didn't us the dot to line it up i did it by eye
