Default "T" mark

Picked up a 85 250 sx...no "T" mark on flywheel..only small mark for TDC.Anyone know the Degrees before top dead center the valves close so I can set the valve timing.Any other way to figure out the "T" mark?Thanks.......

The way I do it is to pull the plug out and pull it til the piston is at top dead, then spin it back a ways and feel the valves to know where you need to stop it at.

yes the mark on flywheel wasTDC. That's where I set the cam sprocket to and bent the exhaust valve..A knowledgeable guy told me that cam chain was shot...he was right.Had a bad rattling noise that sounded like piston slap but when I replaced chain motor was quiet..
