How Would I know if the stator is going bad . And what is a C.D.I box.
The reason why I am asking is my light does not work anymore But it could be the bulb I have not checked it yet. 2 when I put a load on the engine it start to cut out I higher Rpms. 3 Could it be a ignition coil.

My 200x also cuts out when under load at high rpm's, I've tried to adjust the carb and nothings helped. Whats the deal????

Well for your lighting problem, your bulb is probally bad, but make sure that you change your voltage regualtor before putting a new bulb in. You can get a voltage regulator and bulbs for less that 25 dollars for everything out of the Dennis Kirk magazine. Just buy a universal voltage regulator. As for the cutting out, do they have rev limiters on them. How high are you reving your engine when this happens?

 

it does not matter what rpm it is at. I will start out in first hit the gas and it starts cutting out . But it works good at part throttle. It just cuts out and when I give it gas hard. I will try the knew voltage regulater and bulb. I run a 55 watt bulb in the light witch is after market and workes great/
