Does anyone know the correct rim size for a 84 200s ? The ones I just received from dennis kirk have the wrong offset and stick out too far. They show the correct ones to be 8x8.5 with a 3.5+5 offset but they dont fit.

The problem here is that the aftermarket doesn't have a wide variety when it comes to the 4/130 bolt pattern.

The ones you have are all thats available without buying new directly from honda,..which is not financially feasible for anyone in their right state of mind.

I don't see why you say that it shouldn't fit though because the last set that I ordered for someone had the wheel pre-drilled for both a 4/110 and 4/130 hub. If they aren't drilled for both patterns, I suspect they may have sent you the wrong wheels.

To answer your question:
The stock offset is 4.25x4.25

Knowsalot,
Your absolutely right. I was a little hasty in my post. I looked at the wheels again. They will bolt up just fine. The offset will put the tires about 1 1/2 inches further out. That was my main concern but I don't think that will matter much.

The stock wheels have two covers. One slips on over the lugs on the hub and the other goes inside the rim over the lugs. With the aftermarket ITP wheels, I can't fit the inside cover on. Are these important ?

The covers you are talking about were originally used on the old two piece design wheels that Honda used. When they went to the one piece desingn, they continued to use them for a few years then dropped them.

We just toss them aside. They act as no spacer and do nothing more than make up the space on the stud where the old two piece needed them.

If they were critical, honda wouldn't have dropped them later on when the same models were equipped with them the year before with the same axle, hubs, and wheels.

I wouldn't worry with them.

Knowsalot,

crash101,

That's the size of the tire......not the wheel.
