250SX starter gears needed?

I am needing the double starter gear for a 250SX. I have one with a broken gear anyone know where I can get one? Does honda still make em??

They still make them, but you will have to replace the gears as a set. [The single gear AND the double gear].

Honda has updated the gears over the years and there are two possible combinations that exist for the 250ES, 250SX, and TRX250.

You will have to either remove the gears and take them to your dealer to observe..OR you can count the number of teeth on the single gear, and both parts of the double gear and take them to your dealer.

The last time that I sold one of these update kits, i believe the price was about $50.00 for the whole works.

Thanks Knows this helps alot. I was hoping they still made them Id rather have them new from Honda.

the best place for honda parts is www.servicehonda.com just make sure you call them, they don't answer their email. they usually run about 30% less than list.
