I have a 400ex carb I tried it on my 350 with a smaller main jet, but the stock carb out performed it, the bike is stock. Is this carb an improvement when jetted correctly? Has anyone done this mod with success, if so what jets did you use, and was the needle clip moved???

 

I just bought a 400ex carb for my 350X also, have you figured it out, if you do let me know what jetting you went with. Was it a tight fit up by your gas tank! Well any info would be great!

 

What jets have you tried Ray. I tried a 142 main in place of the 148 and that is about it. And it was a tight fight!

 

I have not even put the carb in yet, just was curious, is it working better for you yet, I am gonna drop the needle one position also! Well let me know and I will keep you updated!

 

I have not messed with that carb in months.
