200X locked up

OK, it died while I was riding at a real slow speed, the kickstart lever jerked back up like it would if your foot were to slip off but it was already all the way up. I tried to kickstart it and the kickstarter wouldnt move. I assumed the piston seized and loaded it up and took it home, so last night I took it partially apart. The piston isnt siezed but for some reason the crank will only turn about 2 revolutions then it "catches" on something but if gently forced it will keep turning but it seems like its trying to shift into gear. The shift shaft is seized in the position that would be all the way down when going from neutral to first. So what does everyone think is wrong, could it be the kickstart gear gave up in the motor or something to do with the shift forks/drum?? Also, where would I get the socket to fit the nut on the clutch, and what type of puller do I need to pull the flywheel off??

I thought I heard somwhere motionpro had the socket, if not try honda. as for the flywheel puller, remove the swing arm bolt and use that. If the bolt is rusted in the front axle might be the same but don't quote me.

You've experienced hondas troublesome 83-84 200x tranny lockup problems. Third gear gets worn and slides into 4th!

So, what all will I need to replace??? I havent got that far into the motor yet so I dont know what all gears are messed up, can I just replace the 3rd gear pieces or do I need more of the tranny???

There is no telling until you get in there. A piece of gear could have got lodged in between other gears and chipped them.
