Whats a better choice a 350X, 250R or Tri-Z
I bought my first 1985 ATC 250r in late 1985, sold it and I bought my 2nd 1985 ATC 250r in late 1986. (both used) I kept the 2nd 250r until last year and rode it, mayyybbeeee, 10 times since 1988. That bike was stored in a shed, it was ALL original, and it would almost always start within 2 kicks!!! The only thing I ever had to do to it was replace the fork seals and get new front brakes. It needed a new rear fender (1985 rear fenders break in the crease behind the seat) when I sold it and that's the primary functional difference I see between the 1985 and 1986 250r's. Therefore, my personal opinion is that the 85 and 86 250r's are rock solid and since you're a Banshee owner, you would like the 250r better than a 350x. Even though my last 2 bikes have been 4 strokes, I'd still buy another 250r before getting a 350x...

Roostking,
After being on a Banshee, there is no way you are gonna be happy on a 350x. You will end up building it and that is expensive. Tri-Z; hey if you want to be different, get a mohawk. Now if you want a 250r and you don't want to take on that project, I'll let my recently completed '85 go for $1600. It's got a new top end, all new plastic, new tires and wheels, rebuilt forks and shock, new brakes and a new waterpump. It already has an FMF exhaust and a Mikuni 36 carb. This is as close to new as an ATC gets. You know roached out 250r's go for $1700 and up here in Phoenix. Hey, I'll even throw in the shipping! -RT
You going to the dunes this weekend? I'm going to ATV Racing's customer appreciation this weekend at Buttercup, come dune with our crew and take the ATC for a spin

I had planned on going, but I think I blew a head gasket on my bike. If I get it fixed(which is kinda hard since I work the mid shift) Ill be going..
That ATC sounds intriguing. I am going to buy my truck this week, (former lease, too many miles and dents in bed to turn it in) so I will be able to see homw my finances shake out.. Ill let you know!

I have owned several makes and models of the ATC250R and ATC 350X,in fact I used to race the 250R for my local dealership as a kid..LOL so it will allways be dear to me..but the 350X is my choice to just ride and have fun....
