What do you Pull Your Quads With? Truck, Car?

The automatics HAVE not crapped out......we haven't had ANY problems with them.....they did have a little injector trouble.....and as the article stated, that you gladly produced the link to, they were recalled!.....Ford fixed it!
and the dodges have absolutely nothing on the new 6.0.......I don't care what you think......I have driven all of them.......we went to a "ride and drive" b4 the new 6.0 came out and the dodge ho was there.....the duramax was also there.......and they drag raced them with 10,000lbs behind them.......
guess who won?......
I'll give you a hint.......wasn't a chevy, nor a dodge.......

im not siding with any manufacturers here but using a drag race while towing as a basis of who is superior is being a victim of irrelivant marketing stragedies. the power difference is so close that luxury, reliability, and durability are the true winning factors. ive never been a fan of chevy's brakes or fords poor quality interior, and dodges completely too loud and annoying cummins, point being they all have their faults.

Myself, its either my little 2003 nissan frontier cc 4wd sc or my 2000 ford F250 CC 4wd powerstroke diesel. I have a small 18x6.5 open trailor I can use for hauling quads, I can use my 20x6.5 enclosed trailor, or I can use my 32ft toyhauler.... the toyhauler being a fifth wheeler, I have to use the ford, but my little nissan pulls the other two no problem.....

LOL...This is funny...The Ford won? LMAO..They must have only did one pull as the Ford seems to fail after that...Proof on the trans failures is coming...Stay tuned bat fans!
The new hO Cummings is the quietest of all the diesels...Go check them out.
Here is one for ya...More to come...How many problems does this Ford have? 1,2,3 or more?
I've been watching this site since I purchased my first FORD product in April. I bought a F-350 Lariat with the new 6.0 motor. I have been very satisfied with truck even though I grew up a bowtie guy. I had the dead pedal issue, they fixed it, I now have the rolling idle I'm waiting for the "big fix" before I take truck back in.
Here's my problem, I towed my 28 foot Pace Shadow 12" extra height car hauler (loaded with around 1000#) to the track on Friday morning, arrived at the track and had no reverse, let everything cool down and got reverse back. Left track without trailer and upon accelerating the truck acted like it was jumping between first and second gear. Got to destination and truck would not refire had to have it towed, 90 miles from home.
Anyone else had a simlar problem?
Have not heard from dealer yet.

I just posted a question on the jumping between gears. I am not sure if mine happens between 1st and 2nd, but it happens at about 80 km/h. The bucking is so severe, it locks the seat belts. I have not experienced any of the other problems you mentioned, just the bucking. Have they given you any idea of what it could be?

If you have time , check out my post on July 3 "confused transmission" and see if it sounds like yours...took mine in again Monday July 7, they still have it...dont have a clue according to service manager..Ford Rep did call me this afternoon, following up on our conversation of the previous thursday....said she had talked to the local dealership, they had not heard from me about bringing it in, would be happy to check out the problem...told her that i had the truck there at 0730 Monday July 7 as scheduled...offered to go to the dealership and help them find the truck...inspires confidence doesnt it...good luck to you guys, sounds like you are having similar problems..mechanics have not been fortunate enough to receive much training on the transmissions, parts difficult to obtain...lot of transmission replacements have occurred..mine got worse after reflash. bought another truck for work, dependability/reliability issues on this Ford costing me $$$$$..

Thanks guys, the service manager called on Monday and said they got the truck to fire and the tranny felt fine but he was going to put some miles on it Monday night (per FORD) and let me know Tuesday. He called at around 9:00 pm on Monday and said he was stranded with no reverse and now the truck would not turn over (exactly what I took it to them for). They did not find anything on Monday except the truck fired. Now they still have the truck cannot get it to turn over at all and don't have any idea what the problem is, another thing no rental available for me to drive, I'm borrowing vehicles from people to get back and forth to work.
I guess I have two problems with no light at the end of the tunnel.
Don't get me wrong I really like the power and fuel mileage of this FORD but the wide range of problems makes me wonder about FORD's launch of this powertrain.

Hi Hope you have read my post on No power.
Dealer initialy changed a part that activate the turbo pump and after a road test the engine turned off on highway so he had to be haul to the dealer.
They changed a computer part located near or on the motor, apparently the one that locate the cam position. It was not the right part.
They are now trying to change what he called a fuel pre-high pressure part. Will see.
I have the feeling that they have No Clue what cause the No Power. Motor start when cold but stop when engine gets warm.....
Bought a CB, a cell phone and a GPS.
While truck is good, have No Trustee at all on this 6.0L diesel.Till now only Bent pushing rods (3X) all changes, dead pedal and now No Power. Suggested dealer to replace complete motor
What is next!!!!!!!
2,000 miles, 1700 to check reliability!!!!

Well it all depends on how far away I am going to ride or race.. I usually ride my quad to the trails or if there is a race out by where I live I will ride my quad to the track.... Otherwise I pull my toys with a Toy... I have a 1987 Toyota extended cab 4x4 with 4 cyl engine.. I can fit 2 on the trailer and one in the bed if need be... or if I wanna go to the track and not worry about gas mileage to get there, I have a 1989 GMC S-15 2wd set up for drag racing, but it is still street legal. I can only haul one quad with it because it doesn't have a trailer hitch or rear bumper on it... I also have a couple of Suzuki Samurais I can hook the trailer to and carry 2 quads that way.

I am sorry that you all are having such trouble with your 6.0's.........but that is nothing like the ones we are getting and selling?.........we haven't had ANY transmission trouble out of the 6.0's 5 speed auto.......we have been having a little with the 7.3's 4 speed auto.........
but we did have one guy with the no power thing........it was something in the turbo?........it didn't enguage sometimes when the engine was started........(I think it happened to him 4 times)
but they fixed it.........
for the guy that said that he had no rental vehicle offered to him?.........we give our customers rentals all of the time..........sounds like you got ahold to a bad service department.........
for the person that is in east Texas........if you aren't far from Center, Texas.......you might try to bring the truck into our shop........we have the best service department anywhere around here.......
