But to answer his question::: It's power/weight/rpm's thing. The 660 can over-power the extra traction that the 4 stroke gets you. Motors only rev so high,no matter what the cc's,and the bigger the cc's the slower it'll rev.

btw raptor would have been a hella lot faster but, it started out 90mph, then emissions test came,72mph yamaha even stated this...

your 400ex beats properly tuned raptors? so they cant go past 3rd gear? thats a load of crap, a 440ex cant even beat a raptor...

 

Lets compare the raptor and the ex trailriding. The handling on the raptor is crap.and the suspension is not any better so what are you paying for that big ole motor. If you really wanted a fast bike you should buy one off of ebay with a streetbike engine in it.
