i broke it! my cobra exhaust broke today right where the head pipe goes into the connection pipe for the muffler! whats the best racing pipe for a 300ex? i prefer if it uses a 1 1/2 inch head pipe since thats whats on the quad not the stock 1 incher!

I just put on a DG RCM Alloy. I really like it. It has the 1 1/2" head pipe. With a K&N Filter and a 14 tooth front sprocket I can pull a wheelie in 3rd gear where I could not before. That is pretty good considering I am 200 lbs. I got mine on E-Bay used with 1 hour on it in MINT condition for $150.00. You can get one through Dennis Kirk 1-800-328-9280 (CATALOG & ORDER LINE) for $208.99 Part # 44-4466 w/spark arrester or you can get one for $147.99 wothout the spark arrester PN 44-565

If you are racing and or jumping I do not rec. the DG pipe. The aluminum mount brackets do not take the heat and pounding very well. I;ve had mine welded every time I come home from the track. I just ordered the IDS2, the low end on this pipe is not as good as the dg but the mid to high is much better. I'm not saying to make this our choice but don't waste your money on DG. Also DG's head pipe is to long, if you were to cut out four inches at the U - bend you would gain an additional 2000rpm's.But why do that mod when others are already shorter. Let me know what you get.

my dad welded a glasspack on to the head pipe. it accually works better than the cobra! low end id good and mid and high is better than the cobra was! i could whellie shifting into 4th gear it never did that w/the cobra, should i stick w/the glasspak or buy a good racing exhaust?
