I went, it was the 1st one I've ever went to and it was great. The track was a little wet but really in pretty good shape. Those guys really haul. I was amazed at how fast they go and how far they jump. I've been to a few motocross Pro Nationals and this was much better. The riders are really nice abd they were out walking around in the crowd a lot of the time. My son raced motocross(dirt bike)for 5 years and he really loved it. Travis Spader was walking through the autograph line and took an extra minute talk to my son and that really made his day. If you get a chance I'd recommend that you go see a GNC, they're a lot of fun.

Now here's who won (If I remember correctly):

1) Travis Spader
2) Jeremiah Jones
3) Tim Farr

The Red Bud National was so awesome(again)! This is the second year that I attended and it was some of them most exciting racing ever. Spader did run away with the first Pro moto. In the second Pro moto, Jeremiah Jones and Doug Gust were right on Spader the whole way. It was so awesome seeing how fast they corner! I was really excited to see Harold Goodman because he has been out for awhile. I think the best part was the Canadian National champ(19 years old) that cleaned everyone's clock in Open A and Open Pro Am. He had a 350 Banshee with a full Laeger chassis and he was hauling some serious a$$! He in the Pro Am final he got like a 12th Place holeshot and he still passed everyone to take the win. It is too bad that he couldn't speak English that well because I really wanted to talk to him. I have never seen anyone on a Banshee that was that good. I know that he could have given the Pros a run for their money! I will definitely be there next year.

Adam,

I wish I would have talked to you sooner . I was at the race on Sunday. I had all my parts in my van.
How about the Canadian? He was turning laps as fast as the pro's and he wasn't airing it out. That only means he was carrying alot more speed on the ground. He was power sliding the Monza Wall like he was riding a bowl in the dunes.
I saw 2 or 3 400ex'ed Blasters at Red Bud. East coast ATV had one that I got a close look at. Definitely sweet. My buddie who has a built CT240 said that 1/2 the quads in 200 class were cheater bikes. There were even 4-strokes running in the 200 class. Do you know what the size limit for thumpers is in that class? I know the limit in the 250 class is 417, but I have no clue about the 200 class.
talk 2 u soon, Rob

First of all, the class is not only for Blaster's. The class is the 200 Air Cooled, so there are 4 strokes allowed. I am sure that most came from a 200x 3 wheeler. I think that the class limit for 4 strokes in the 200 A.C. is probably 250 though, so I bet that there were some 250x's there. I saw the East Coast 400ex Blaster with the Roll Design front end. That was the sweetest conversion I have ever seen. I remember when I had a blaster I wanted the motor in an R frame. I talked to that kid's dad to see what was up. He said that he has a Roll Design Blaster for himself. Can you imagine spending over $7000 for a chassis for a Yamaha Blaster? I saw their hauler and trailer though, so I am sure that they had plenty of funds. The guy was real nice though, he said we could call with any questions. I wonder how well that Canadian would do on a 250 bike. I have to disagree with you on him not airing it out though. He was doing all the same stuff as the Pros, he cleared the doubles the same as they did.

Did you guys happen to see the 400ex with a yzf426 motor? I seen it at Muddy Creek, it was a real sleeper! Wild man, wild. I wish I would have taken a picture of it for on my website.

I didn't see any 400ex chassis' with YZ motors in them at Red Bud. There were plenty of other YZ bikes there though. The Walsh bike that was there was really nice! The YZ bikes in the pro races were doing quite well, they were right by each other the whole time. The top 3 were way ahead of everyone, and then the YZ bikes were real close to each other.

Chawness,

The bike you are talking about was there. I thought it ran in the 400- A. Are you sure it was a 426 and not a 400. The limit in the 400-a is 417 which the new engine is obviously to big. I may be wrong though, there are 400's in about every class. And even Blasters and 250r's run the 400 plastic.

TRX440,

It may be a yzf400 motor. I cant remember who built it but I heard they have a kit for the engine swap.
