building a jump. do i need i down slope?

I not planning to go big or anything. I will probably be getting 3 to 4 feet of air and probably be jumping a distance of 25 feet. Do I really need a down slope? Anyone have any tips on building a small jump? I have acess to dirt so that isn't a problem. thanks

You don't need one, but it's much easier on the quad and the body. It also helps developing the skill to find the right amount of throttle to meet your downslope and teaches you to acurately handle your machine in the air for an accurate landing. So it's softer landings and builds skill, can't beat that with a stick!

If you have access to dirt and something to move a good amount of it build a landing...but if you have to do it by hand leave it alone and land flat(not so good on the equipment), having to small a landing presents problems if you get pitched wrong...it could make matters worse.

I'm doing all of this with a shovel and a wheel-borrow. It is currently about 2.5 feet tall. It should be finished in the next few days. Right now I can only hit it in second. If I hit it faster the front shocks try to absorb the jump and I end up nose diving. I just have to make sure that the jump is big enough for my blaster to have all four wheels on the jump at one time or else I'll just keep nose diving.

man i had a blaster once, great starter quad. A downhill will help but with a blaster you will be landing hard no matter what. They have very little for suspension. Although they are very durable and light. If you plan on getting a bigger quad then you will notice a major difference in the suspension. Went from a blaster to a z400 and landing was like a dream on the z.
