If you read the rule book about production M/C and atv's there has to be 100 idenacial units made and being sold or available in the whole US. This was put in to stop a small company from making 5-10 quads just for there race team and saying that they are production models. Which I heard was going to happen this year by someone. Are there 100 GasGas models in the US and are they the same?

The production class is production atv cases, no overboring, production frame, and it must be four stroke. THis rules out the gas gas 300 and the banshee.

The way that it is worded in the book is no overboring past the class limit. Before you could go .080 past the class limit on most classes. Now the class limit is the max. With the new rule if you have a 263 you are in the 265 class( which was the old 250 class and most likely still be called the 250 class). If your engine is bored to 267 it is in the open class. Before there was a dark area if your engine was between 265 and 275, it was not legal in either class. Because of the 10% kited rule past the class limit.
Now in GNCC they will only have an open production 4-st pro class. If you have a 2-st you will run in some other class. I think that they are calling it Pro-Am but not sure. In GNC, the it will be 450 max 4-st production only. XC and MX are different types of racing so they have some different rules for classes.

Trust me, the new Yammy and Honda will be more than capable of beating any aftermarket 250R, and at a price tag well under the 20grand they usually cost.
Yeah, that's why they keep the CC limit to 265................ha ha ha what a joke. Let's bump that number to 310 or 330 and see what happens. Ooops, we cant do that because then the thumpers would run with their tail between their legs. If CC's is the game then it should be fair to have them all the same. Bad when the old 265's still kick ***. Ridley, I know you know your stuff in this MX'ing and such, but face it man, 2-strokes are the stuff.More power from the same displacement................PERIOD. That fact will NEVER change in our lifetime.

As far as I know, there are no cc limit in the GNCC Pro Class of 450cc. There were Predators in the class since the start of last year, so the race 440 kit wasn't out. I believe all the Predators were at least 500cc.

Ridley, I agree with you 100%. I know most riders will be faster on the 4-strokes because of more traction less wheelspin. We come from 2 different fields of racing. I am a drag racer by heart and you cant beat a big displacement 2-cycle in that field. Like I said I knew that you know your stuff. By reading and watching I have learned it is kind of easy to get your feathers a little ruffled, and I enjoy reading your responses. All in fun, bro. At 33 I am too damn old to try and get physical around laps and jumps, not my cup of tea. I do ,however, enjoy watching the gncc and other sports. 6 more months and you'll catch me on posts numbers.

Reduce stress? Hell I didnt think there was a better way to do that then go out riding all day, then go home and feel so tired you cant stay awake until 10:00. That's a good stress reliever IMO.
