DS650???
You can not run any type of utility class.............It's not a utility ATV...ofcourse neither is a KFX700......but it's auto tranny is what makes it legal for utility unlimited.
Amateur classes eligible for the DS are.............
1st Year Racer
Super Sr. [Age 50+]
4 Stroke C [Age 33+]
4 Stroke C [Age 25-32]
4 Stroke C [Age 16-24]
4 Stroke Stock
Sr. [Age 40-49]
Vet [Age 30-39]
Jr. [Age 25-29]
Although occasionally I see a few.......DS 650 are not popular in any hare scramble series due to the size of the beast......and when you narrow one, it's illegal for the 4 Stroke Stock class.
You can go to GNCCRACING.COM for more info.
Maybe I'll see you at a few races this year.
Good Luck.

the only reason i thought i could be in the utility unlimited Class is because KFX700's are allowed . Look's like either first year or 4 stroke stock, probably first year.
i know some people say the DS is to big for the woods, but i master the woods with it [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
gnccracing.com/ is a great place for info.
thx for the help

Stock is a very tough class. The talent in 4-Stroke Stock is on par with the A classes. I raced first year a couple of years ago and loved it. It is a big class, but that is one of the things I liked best about it. You will always be able find someone about your speed to race with.

I've actually been contemplating giving a GNCC race a try. Sounds really fun - I've always wanted to race but MX wouldn't be my thing I don't think.
How tough are most of the races? I'm a slightly [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] out of shape 33 year old and just wonder if I could finish or if I'd drop over the handlebars midway.....
I guess I should go check one out in person to see for myself.

I'm 37 and raced for the first time last year in a local series www.koontzadventures.com , utility class. I could barely walk the next day but went on to win overall in my class for the year. I beleive if you take it easy at first and dont try to stay in front you will finish the race, but it is extremely physical, so get out and ride as hard as you can for as long as you can and you will have an idea of what its like and have a better chance at finishing ! Go for it!!!

the end of febuary im driving down to florida and racing my first GNCC race. I have watched it on TV a bit. i cant wait to try it. i do some MX and just 10 laps around a MX track will wear you out pretty good. GNCC is going to be fun!
