anyone know if any events allow 3 wheelers to sneek in the race???...Id like to know...I got a racin trike...just no events to race at [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]

 

ice racing and sand dragging. only two i know of that trikes still officially race in.

 

There was a guy who entered his 250 BigRed in the utility class at a hare scramble a couple years ago. It wasn't an AMA sanctioned race and the quad guys didn't care.

There were about 15 entries including the BigRed.

The BigRed got 3rd I think and then the quad guys protested him for having a three wheeler!!!!

They let him keep his finish and trophy and then added a rule banning ATCs from competition. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]

Funny how people don't care about something until it turns around and bites them in the @$$.

Maybe if there were enough interest, a national ATC club could be formed and have one weekend out of the year that they all meet up for competion?? MX, Drags, TT, and XC.

We had a threewheeled MX race at Haspin acres last month. About 8 in the 350x class, and 10 in the high performance class (250 2 stroke). It was really, really cool. There was also an unsuspened class for all the hardtails.

A guy on my website, TimSr who also raced in the threewheeler motocross at haspin races his Tri-Z at several different tracks and courses in Ohio without any problems. I was considering running my Z and some harescrambles down here in FL but the rulebook says that the quad class is for 4wheels only wich counts me out.
