I recently saw a 90cc racing four wheeler that appeared to be a honda. It definitely was not a trx 90. The front wheels were off the ground and the rears were spinning wildly as the rider worked the clutch coming out of a corner. Are these motorcycyle motored hybrids? Who builds these things? Anybody got a number? My daughter needs one.

Yes these are custom racing 90's. Nobody builds a complete bike like this that you can just go out and buy. They are completely custom and usually put together by the owners. They usually use a motor off of a dirt bike and the frames can either be some type of factory frame that is modified or you can purchase a Laeger frame which the motor will bolt right into without modification. Plan on spending $8,000 to $10,000 to put one together.

wife's cousin has two boys that race the little fourwheelers. the only thing that looks like or even is a honda 90 is the plastic. they build their own chrome moly frames and swing arms, titanium axles. race on go cart size tires. engines are modified kawasaki kx60 motors.they are about the same height as a blaster but longer and 50" wide. these fourwheelers will fly.

$8,000.00 huh? Thats pretty steep. Unless you compare it to the cost of assembling a race worthy 2000 400ex. What are most kids racing in the 90cc classes? I know the LT80 is fast but poorly suspended and somewhat ureliable (what I hear). The TRX90 is slow and heavy but very reliable (what I know). Who is selling parts for the Honda 90?

I saw one a the Lorretta Lynns Ride. Pretty sweet quad. Had one one those 80cc MX motors in it. He came up behind me and I immediatly pulled over thinking it was an R, turs out it wan't so I chased him down. I could keep up on the Blaster, his bike was about the same size, had about the same max power but obviously over a very narrow range. It was fun chasing him down, he was obviously running pretty hard, judging by how hard he hit on of the trees. Overall about as much power a my stock Blaster, probably 2" wider but smae lenghth. It has works triple rates w revervoirs.

At the Lorretta's MX I met Nathan Dallas and got to check out his 80. Laegers Mini frame, T-pin spindles, ZPs shocks, Douglas Billet wheels, Nacs hubs, it was an awesome ride. I'd guess closer to 12000 for Nathans quad, the other one was probably closer to 8000. Either way, you'll get a really awesome quad that will attract more attention than a 250R or Banshee.
