Definition of harescrambles?

harescarmbles are 30min. to 2hr.+ motos through woods w/ some grass areas. most in southern missouri and northern arkansas are very rocky. the min. spec. equip:.190 wheels w/reinforcing rings, stock rolled bead wheels or beadlocks w/min. 20" tall 6-ply tires like holeshot xct or xc. also heavy full skid plates are a must. other recomended equip. would be steering stablizer, gripper seat, and any other item to enhance reliblity.the key to racing is set your pace, be patient, save your equipment and wait for the competion to make a mistake(ie. hook a tree, cut tire) then take lead. usually half of the field drops out do to injury or equipment failure.keep engine mods to min. pipe, reeds, and good two stage foam air filter are all thats needed. don't go overboard on carb and porting, also do not mod. airbox. good luck and have fun thats what it's all about
