i need help. i want to try racing ovals but dont know where to start. i have a raptor with some mods air box pipe ect... i need to know what is allowed in a ama sanctioned race. i got the rules but cant make heads or tails of them any help would help. thanx.

OK, I'll consider the ovals you talk about the same as the GNC friday "short track" events that are at some of the GNC TT's.
First of all is the safety stuff. A tether switch and nerf bars are a must for tech inspection.Front bumper and grab bar numbers also.
We have the American racer tires on. You will need a sway bar. You need to lower the machine if possible, to start out you can have it high.
So your on the track now. You will need other stuff, but to start out having fun and learning, that's the minimum IMO.
