Is the suzuki Lt500 the fatest quad out there?

 

In stock top speed yes, it's over 80mph.
Acceration? Not sure. I'm sure the new four bangers could holeshot it pretty good especially in dirt.
Pavement? I am not sure

 

Stock vs stock and fresh, yes.

 

Stock for stock, it would be my guess that the zilla is the fastest production bike ever built. Top speed was 79-80mph stock and it out accelerated the Banshee, but to what degree I dont know. I would like to ride one.

pimp250r - Good luck on that GTO Judge, it's a great American classic. Too bad they don't make em' like that anymore.

 

I'd say NO.
As far as the speed quoted above: They use the same size sprockets and it revs to the same RPM.Why then a 15 MPH increase?
If they were the fastest, you would see them all over the open classes at the TT's. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

I do see them all the time at events in michigan. The 2 year reigning MI ice racing champ is on a killer lt500 and they also show up at drag races and a few tt events.

 

what about the gasgas? there suposed to have an insane top speed?
they were made for the streets so my guess would be 85+mph?

 

I agree there is some out there. And they are fast.I'm not ragging the zilla one bit.
But I do know ppl that have had them for TT and left for other machines.

Tranny diff would be the key to that speed

 

stock vs stock they are, and even modified, put the same amount into an lt and then any other quad its still going to be faster. I would love to have a 500 setup for TT.
