Which Can handle more in the woods-05 Raptor 660R or 05 Predator500?

The raptor has more torque and more powerful midrange, so that would mean it would work better in the sticky stuff, and with larger rear tires.

the raptor has three thing against it. first it too narrow, second too tall, which results in high center of gravity(this is a bad thing if you did not know), third is dependability. this is how it has gotten the nick name CRAPTOR. these are just my opinions from riding a few of them.

wow....settle down a little, I agree it got its name the same way predators are called predaturds......Although some of the rappys were problematic(but seem to be fixed since 01). I agree that the rappy is too tall, and too narrow......I'm not saying they aren't going to work, but more that in comparison to the pred, it is taller and narrower. With the 05's having reverse, the predator is the optimum trail quad. I wish the pred wasn't the top trail quad, and was the top race quad......

Hey boys but i dunno what kinda crack rocks your smokin but If you know how to ride the raptor is a fine machine. it can conquor about anything thats you can throw in its face. as for bein narrow WTF dont believe what you read on paper they must me measuring the rear axle for width or sompin. all i know is you cant be any wider that a raptor on our trails out here. or you wont get across the bridges. or down allot of the trails. Its not tippy because of height its tippy cuz they bought the shox from Kmart on a blue light special. the front shox are worthless and t!ts on a bore hog. but thats all crap you gotta change anyway. Dont listen to anyone on what to get. Sit on the bike, ride it if ya can, and get what feels best to you. your the one who has to ride it not any of us.
