I was going to run it, but I had already planned a party at my house for the 2nd.

BET is a fun track. Your very first practice there makes you nervous as you come out of that sweeper and start up the hill, knowing you are about to be airborne even though you are 6" of the ground.

Where are you from? My girlfriend is from Belleville about 5 minutes from the track.

Yeah I hear that, you can take that big sweeping turn pretty fast. This is my first year racing there and the first couple of races I think a jogger could have passed me around that corner My last race there I think the ambulance was on the track three times. It is a great track though we have a blast over there. We also race at Jackson (flickerwood) its a small indoor track but it is a blast too.

Thats a bummer your not going, but if you change your mind let me know maybe we can hook up. I am from Greenville, IL about 45 minutes away.

I also have ran the Flickerwood series. Fruitland (Jackson) is about 20 minutes from me. I don't know if I will be running it this year. The promoter and I have some disagreements. He has pissed off quite a few people. He took the $300 to win out of the pro class the morning of the race last year. Many people were loaded and on their way when he decided to pull the money out. We didn't even know it wasn't $300 to win until the race was over. I also have some other problems with him.

How did you do at BET yesterday?

You mean Bill, the guy that heads up Fickerwood, Semo and Sikeston tracks? That sucks about the problems. I hope things work out where you can make some of the races.

I am runninng in the b class. There is four in our group, 2 of which were running for the first time down there. I have the ex and these other guys have 250r, yfz and a banshee. Me the 250r and yfz all ran the 250b class and then we all ran the open b class with the banshee. I placed 1st in both the heat races, 2nd in the main in the 250b class, a yfz beat me. I also placed 1st in the open main. It was a fun night.

My plans are to run pro-am at flickerwood this year, the only thing is, I am mainly out there to have fun and am not really racing for the money.

Like I said maybe we can hook up at one of these races! Let me know, Gary
