Does the DS have a higher top speed, i think it has more horsepower but its also heavier.

 

the ds will completely smoke the rapp, my cousin own both and the rapp doesn't stand a chance, but i think he souped up the ds and kept he rapp stock so maybe that is why it also wins so badly

I haven't been beaten by a DS. I've raced one w/ a pipe and no airbox lid. I beat him by a good 2 bike lengths. They have more hp, but are heavier and sacrifice acceleration. I will tell you that he was slowly gaining on my toward the end. But it would have taken him another 100 or so yards to pass me.

 

This will not happend unless the DS was modded, or if the raptor is not well mainten(spelling).Well a DS and a raptor share the same speed, but know that bombardier did some cahnges on the DS, that screw it up, it lost some speed. So now the raptor has a slight advantage.

Hes right, the DS's did get changed, but they didnt make it slower, just the opposite, they made it faster. They changed size and weight, smaller, and kept the Baja rev limiter. more rpms and less weight = faster. stock vs stock a DS will win, be very close and depends on driver in the beg of the race, but the DS has a higher top end.
