thanks man!
I don't think it will sell for what I want? but if it did it was a toss up between the ATK450 and GASGAS450.
or maybe another ds?

dsracer666,
i like that you pick atypical atv's to race.....goes to show that it's mostly rider and not bike. a great bike helps, but doesnt make a champion.....i would go with the atk450....much better chassis than the gasgas450.....motors are pretty much the same if you go with fuel injection systems.....tho the gasgas comes with some serious brakes and other goodies.....i know where there is a atk450 sitting on a showroom floor.....complete with walsh a-arms and elka shocks and a mess load of other goodies.....

loosing another track to ride sucks, I know... we've lost plenty here in the NW too. but we're gaining ground on other tracks.

are you part of a local ATV club? the ATVA? do they work to help keep tracks open? (negotiating, petitioning, etc) just calling & yelling at them does nothing.

I don't get it.

There is a great motocross track about fifteen miles from my house. The lap time is 2:46 (pro bike) and the largest jump is 106 ft. The facilities are great, and it is easily the best outdoor track around.

It is CRA sanctioned, not AMA. Unfortunately, the owner has always been a dirtbiker, and he won't run quads because him and his wife don't like dealing with 36 motos on a Saturday night. So they favor the two wheelers.

These kinds of moves are unfair and hinder the growth of the sport. I am friends with this couple, and all my begging and pleading hasn't changed a thing. Where do we go from here? Here in Ohio, there aren't too many new parks opening up.

get with a local club & start favoring the tracks that do support quads, having numbers means a lot($$) to a promoter.
