Default Which 450 is better for MX?

I have been out of the ATV sene for several years now. I am considering buying a 450 (Honda or Yamaha). I want to know which one is better for MX racing or that kind of riding style. I do not care about top speed or drag racing. Also wondering if anyone can tell me of any mechanical flaws of the two.

Your info will be appricated.

If you are going to compete and be serious, get the yfz. If you are going to be trail riding with the occasional race, the honda is a better bet.

I dunno for sure both seem good, but I have noticed that this year there have been more DNFs by people on the YFZ than people on the Hondas... There is this one guy who has broken several subframes on his YFZ this year.

The yfz will be better for mx and the shocks r better on yfz for mx. The center of graity is lower on yfz. Don't know anybody who has bent a subframe on a yfz
The honda a- arms r weak and bend easy if you do any big jumps. And the Honda is more prone to tip over. It's a trail bike to me in stock form. And the yfz is ready for mx execpt u need some tires and handle bars. that's all .
I like both but it would be cheaper to get a yfz if u r just starting to get into mx

No this guy isn't any bigger than you. There have been other ones break stuff on their YFZ he just seems to do it more often. As far as messing up on jumps he is like one of the best riders on our class. He is also the points leader.

I give up, pick which ever one u want. I don't mx my yfz much since i got my suz. back together. But it sounds like a yfz frame is junk for mx unless u got a big pocket book. And as for the motors maybe u better hire a good mech. to keep the motor together. lol
