I ride with about 3, and in my experiences, Raptors are good bikes but they do have some parts that tend to wear faster than other bikes. Like bearings for example, Raptor bearings tend to wear quicker than a Z and EX. Does this mean Raptors are an inferior bike? NO, but you do have to stay on top of them a little more.

call BS on that one I don't care what kind of quads they are, out of 20 there WILL be failures.

Well out of the 20 I know personally there have been no problems what-so-ever. Sure there will be maintenance like replacing brake pads, changing oil, wearing out chains and sprockets but these are all wear items/ regular maintenance for any quad. Out of the 20 the only problem any of us have ever had was replacing the clutch but again that is a wear item and is to be expected for a 2002 raptor. I researched every quad on the market for a long time before I bought mine and what sold me was the reliability that all my buddies have had with their raptors. Id rather ride than spend time wrenching. People bash them on the internet all the time and most have never owned one let alone ridden one. The raptor is fast, comfortable, and is built with the reliability of a freaking Hummer H1 and thats fact.
