desert/ baja racing california

Anyone know any good websites or where to get information on these races?
Im starting to gear my quad into a desert racer and wanted to know if there are any smaller races out here. My goal is to compete in the baja races someday. Also I need some help with setups for my raptor, Mainly suspension/items that will make the thing even more of a tank. Im assuming people are using long travel systems. Whats the hot suspension setup these days to have? Also whats the hot engine setup to run? A nice 690 I would assume... Any help will be appreciated, thanks guys

i believe AMA district 36 runs desert races, and there's also teh adellanto & elsinore GP's. PM me your email address. i'll send a link to another site more in tune with that... more focussed on desert racing, etc.
also, the WORCS series is a step in that direction... GP format, 1 hour races, and many desert racers run them too.

dist 38 in cal http://www.sidewindersmotorsports.com/
best in the desert in NV http://www.bitd.com/
score in NV and Mexico http://www.score-international.com/
and if you wont to come to AZ http://www.whiplashracing.com/main.html
I hope this helps...
The key to desert is long soft suspension and reliability you cant win if you don’t finish.
