ATV/Dirtbike
#21
My '04 Grizz 660 blows my '04 TTR125L out of the water. But, the grizz just can't go some places the TTR can. I can't really drive the grizz on deer trails that go into the rocks. I will take some pics next week and show you what I mean.

yes, dirtbikes have more ground clearance which also allows for more suspension travel which also helps make them better for jumping. what advantages do atv's really have? come on... there has to be some...

Way more comfortable, useable for utility purposes. (can't carry a bag of feed or fishing poles and tackle boxes on the dirtbike) can't carry or drag a deer or elk out, can't jerk down a tree, can't plow snow, can't fit the wife and kids on the db with me, (J/K) can't do continuous 360 ice doughnuts, can't climb the real steep stuff with the db. There are a lot of reasons I love my Grizz, I like the db too.

Well I will consider myself a bit of an authority on this because I ride with dirtbikes every weekend. Drag racing not a chance, I ride with a yzf450 and a ktm450, as a matter a fact flat out on a road race the yzf will take the time to dip the front end a little bit and go wheelieing by me almost embarasing, I am pretty sure the raptor has the highest top speed stock of any sport quad. Can't climb steep stuff with the bike??? Don't think so they climb very well. The advantage I have is in the tight trails, despite all there acceleration on a tight trail I'm right on there back tire. I have alot more fun on my quad and would not trade it for a dirtbike ever. BTW when I do get in front of these guys all that contact surface works excelent for kicking up loads of dust, they uasually end up hangin back until the dust settles. my.02$
