Default dirt drag racing newbie...looking for advice

i live in southeast ga, and the new wave is atv dirt drag 300 foot. and i took my 05 yfz 450 out and ran what my buddies were pretty good times for my first time at the track. was not used to the light tree, or the track and ran 5.77, 5.63, and a 5.60. and was told that with practice i could bring those times down. but all that said was bitten by the bug. i just purchased a bone stock 2001 banshee, and went to trinity and im looking at the pro mx/tt kit, and also the 420 cc big bore kit. what im wondering is what purchase is going to give me the best results. what im looking to do is run in the 4.60 class and possibly the pro banshee class. any help from you more experienced racers will be appreciated. also looking to maybe big bore my yfz 450 to run in the 450-700cc class and if you have any imput on which big bore might be better . like i said with nothing more than an alba racing pipe, jet kit and k&n filter and outer wear my best time on my first trip to the track was a 5.60. also i had 18 inch holeshot rear tires on at the time, and my buddies said that it would have been faster with the stock 20 inch tires. so any help or advise would be deeply appreciated.

If you want to make the YFZ go fast, give Brian Franklin of Finishline Racing a call (318) 452-5653. They are in Alexandria LA, not too far from you. Their big bore YFZs gave drag Banshees, Raptors, and DS650s a very hard time at the Clash of the Titans in Little Sicily LA.

For info on the Banshee, you might want to check out planet sand dot com or banshee hq dot com, lots of Banshee drag racers/hill shooters there.

I think you may find that there are plenty of shops closer to you, that will do as good/ or better job than Trinity.
I know that I have read quite a few bad reports on here of trinity.
Plus I have a friend with a Zilla that was done by them, and I dont think he's real satisfied ether.

Give Albany Cycle Performance a call in Albany, Ga. They did the work on our banshee and they have had a few hard running 4-strokes, including a 4??ex that ran some 4.8s a few years ago.

Brian Franklin is the person you need to call like Ubetrun said his bikes were very impressive at The Clash of the Titans. I will be picking my bike up from him this week. I will post the results of how it runs and where it dynoed at when I get it.
