My motor (86 TRX250R) will soon be running around 215psi compression. I need to know what everyone thinks is a good Race Fuel to buy..The only fuel in my area you can buy by the pump is Turbo Blue..is this good enough? What does every run and where can I get it?..Sidenote question--I currently use Yamalube with pump 92 octane..when I switch to Race fuel, is Yamalube still a good oil? Should I switch oils..we do ride in cold weather as well...Thanks, Dave

If you run in the cold do not run the caster oil stuff. I have heard that it seperates from the oil under 50 degrees.

I just had my motor rebuild and need to run race gas only. My motor guy (REP) recomends VP C-12. I called one day and asked about another brand (I was in a bind) and he again recomended VP, but told me to run over 110 octane and make sure I got the leaded race fuel. Needless to say I made sure I found VP that day.

We used to run Turbo Blue in the stock cars years ago. But for bikes, I have heard that VP is made more for motocycle type motors.

If you are having trouble finding a dealer, call the regional office. That is how I found it. I looked at the VP web site (forgot address), called the CA (I live in CT) office and asked them. They were very nice and I called the East Coast regional office. They looked in their computer and found a bunch of places that are real close to me. It is actually a Harley shop that sells it.

Next year, I am going to just get the 50 gallon drum and store it for the year.

I race an 88 250R and I find that going to the local airport and getting LL100 works awesome. It is only like $2.50 a gallon too.

Cam 2 (Sunoco) purple 110 from the pump is $3.99 locally. I can also get Phillips 66 B32 or B33 for about $6/gal in a sealed 5 gal can.

The same B32 or B33 is about $4.00/Gal if purchased by the 55 gallon drum.

The B32 & B33 smell much prettier than the Cam 2

Cam2 is made by Sunoco correct? I found a place near by where I can get it, not sure of the price yet...Has anyone had any experiences with Citgo Racing gas? Also, I've heard some pretty bad things about Turbo Blue..are they true..Thanks, DaveR
