What would it take?
Ok my question is what would it take for a trx250r to have more tourqe and more speed than a 2006 450r???? Whats the bare minimun for the 250r to beat it?? Also how much power and top end does a 12.7mm stroker crank add???? thanks

What would it take?
Some 310's and most 330's will have comparable torque of a 450. My 310 pulled the same as my daughters CRF motored quad. Most agree that it takes 330cc's to equall the 450's (except the AMA/ATVA). [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/img]
Speed will depend on alot of factors..
gearing, rev limiters,and the length of the run..
ie: I can put the smack down on 4 strokes thru the gears with my R. with comparable gearing.
They beat me on top speed because I'm afraid of squeezing it (piston) on a long drawn out throttle. I know I could spend more (lectron carb with the power jet) but it's not been needed for XC,MX,TT,dunes or trails. Just on the roads. They (4 strokes) can pull longer by most anyones opinion.Thus they will be faster on top end.......IMO
