I have a love for the old muscle cars myself, and it runs deep. I come from a family of mopar & chevy lovers & drag racers..... I never thought I'd find myself in a ricer, but I'm now in the middle of building an americanized ricer.....
BUT... this is no normal ricer: no wings, no stickers, no fart can, no NAAAWS, no turbos, just pure american muscle, all under the hood, and fairly quiet!
The ride: 1988 Mazda RX7, shoehorning in a 99 camaro LS1 5.7L V8!!! Yes, the stock RX7 rotary engine is fast, but not fast enough, and not reliable enough for my taste... they're a maintenance pig. my goal is to put it well into the 11's in the 1/4, and be totally streetable. it maintains the perfect 50/50 weight balance the RX7 was famous for, gains reliablility, double the Hp, and nearly triple the torque of the stock motor. Plus, its more efficient and I can still tune it with a laptop!

a mix of the old & new: RX7 pic engine bay
