hi I have a 1992 quad racer LT250R with nerf bars FMF fatty exhaust pipe and silencer and I started it up in cool weather not cold cold but cool like 0 or so maybe + 1 degrees calcius and I let it run for about half a min before riding I got to second gear and it quit I know it had oil in it and rad fluid but when it died I found no oil inside the tranny......I knew it had a fair bit when I first got it I had it stored for a while....and I was anxious to ride......but it just quit...the engine has good compression and still turns over nice and smooth...but won't fire it still has a little tiny bit of gas but not a lot of gas.....I just changed the spark plug recently only got the bike in september and I had to change the plug the second day I owned it....so what is happening with my bike????did I ruin it on just a short short run...?I only went not even 30 yards....

hey it was a fault champion plug the store told me NGK high temp plugs will do the trick on 2 stroke motors....and I was so tired I didn't know what I was doing last night lol.....but I thank you I also had to re-adjust my clutch???? is that normal? like the clutch cable to the side of the engine needed to be tightened>.....and may I ask how to re-jet the bike for winter so I don't blow her up I love this bike and I wanna take good care of it. PS I got a build up of oil where the exhaust pipe comes off the engine is that blow by like excess carbon?
and once again I thank you you svaed me bringing it to a garage or dealership....

I know when you re-jet for winter that's the carb.....it's got a high performance carb so I need some details on how to re-jet it......is it the same as any carb or would it be something special? I will get the make of the carb on the bike to get the best info.
