I was at glamis last weekend and rode with some freinds. He has a 1989 trx250r, port polish over sized piston, i mean crhome everything. We were sitting at the bottom of olds mobile hill both line up and take off up the hill i jump right out and start pulling i had him by a quad and a half all the way up the hill. im running a 06 trx450er with hrc kit, slip on exhaust. rejetted, buring 110 octane. We raced as many times as he wanted same result everytime. i honestly thought he would take me everytime. he has been riding for over 20 year and i have been riding for 10 years so i dont think it was either driver. He was pretty pissed he said he is going to throw on his drag pipe and we are gonna run again. i will keep you updated. raced alot of people last weekend pissed alot of people off haha Honda Rules!

I'm not suprised. The 06 450 has a lot more power than the old 250R did when in stock trim. Mild modded 450R's even beat quite a few 310R setups. The place the old R still takes the cake though is in the corners.

But you're not really "burning" 110 fuel, more like burning some and leaving deposits elsewhere.

Ill tell ya what man My 06 has about eighty hours on it factory recomends every 30 you change it, and still runs as strong as the first day. This bike has inpressed me so much, from climing boulders to riding with a really slow group, from running the bouls at glamis, and even drag racing . I would recomend it to anyone. Yea it doesnt like to go Slow but you just gotta play with the clutch and you can do anything on that quad. Even with a Cam, Pipe, Header, Rev box. It was kinda funny at glamis. someone would pull up with a moddifed machine and i would look over and we would hit it. the Only bikes that would take me were the heavely modded alchohal burning banshees out there. any modded Yfz, Ltz i would beat them by atleast half a quad legnth. hey and its a Honda.

As for olds, I've found that the one that can take the whoops before the hill will be up first.
