Default open class quads?

I have a unusual quad.
I took a 2004 Gas Gas 450 wild and removed the four stroke 450 and put in a Kx500 motor in its place.
I would like to know what class I can ride in?
Am I in an open class and what would the rules be for my creation be?

Here are some pictures of my new toy......

Default open class quads?

sweet ride man. I sold my quadzilla a year to two ago to get my jetboat. Luckily i recently picked up a street legal CR500 supermoto for the warmer months. I dont know what class you would ride in there werent that many different models of 2 stroke race atvs. suzuki (lt250r), honda TRX250r and kawi Tecate 4 (250 2 stroke). the only outliers made were the LT500R (quadzilla) and the banshee (twin cyl 350cc two stroke. the engine actualy came from their 2 stroke street bike, the rz350, they just removed the powervalves from the design. Banshee was really never a track atv, the quadzilla only lasted from 87 to 90. The lawsuits and the backing out on 2 stroke performance ATVs killed any chance of an open class bike. I suppose open class events nowdays would be things like DS650s and raptor 660s/700, maybe the ocasional KFX 700

The rules concerning your quad may be different for different races. The onnly way to get a straight answer is look up the governing body for what races you are looking to enter and ask someone in the know. Many places have their rules posted on the net for you to look at anyway. If you aren't sure what body governs the races you wish to attend, try getting hold of the venues the races are held at for more direction.

For us in our are of the west coast (Central vally area), Open means.. any quad creation you have, and.. any rider level.. Novice, intermediate, pro expert... There all run together as equal... Like someone else said, consult the promoters rules in your area as their may be some restrictions: Atv size, tires, fuel types, mandatory safety items, Etc.
