GNC Racing Question
#1
I was wondering if anyone knows where to get a set of rules and regulations for the GNC races?
I have a 99 400ex that is going to get motor
work soon. I wanted to get the 465 done through Curtis Sparks but I am not sure on the class I would be in at a GNC race. Would I be able to race against the 250R's Or would this put me in a completly differnt class. What is the maximum CC for 4 strokes to stay in with the R's.
Any Info would be greatly appreciated.

Try going to the AMA web site. You can download the rules book. Here's the link.
http://www.ama-cycle.org/
Scroll down to: 2001 AMA Sports Rules Governing Pro-Am, Semi-Professional, Amateur, ATV and Youth Competition now online, Dec 28
You should find your answers here.

The class limit for the 4-stokes is 440 with no overboring. So if you have a 441 you can only race in the open and the age classes at the GNC's. There is also a set of supplementary rules for the GNC races. I am not sure if they are posted on the AMA site yet. I have a copy of last year's, if you have a question maybe I or someone else can answer it.
