ive been riding my kfx450r since it first came out and i think im ready to start racing i just turned sixteen,ive tooken my atv class and my quad has everything it need to race what do i need to have or do when i show up to a race and what if u have any helpful tips please let me know

 

It depends on the sanctioning body (that's "WHO" puts on the race). What state are you in? Giving us more information would probably net you better answers. Since you are a minor, a parent or legal guardian will have to be present with you in able to sign the liability waiver (I would guess this would be true with everyone).

 

i live in northern california which is away form alot of big events i have heard

 

when i was with TQRA "tqra.com" all you had to have is helment, riding boots, and automatic kill switch

 

How about a tether for starters?

 

In Nor Cal the biggest thing going consistently is TT & Flat Track Racing... Do a search for CMA Racing... For this type of racing you'd want to have the quad wide & lowered. Items typical: safety gear/out fit, sway bar, nerf bars, tether/kill switch. There's some skattered MX, but not much....
