ATV CRASH NEAR HUTCHINSON KILLS ONE, HURTS ANOTHER

One person was killed and another was seriously injured when two ATVs collided northwest of Hutchinson. 33-year-old Cory Hanson of Hutchinson died at the scene. 40-year-old Daryl Rath of Hutchinson was hurt and was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis. The crash happened just before 4 p.m. Saturday.

It sounds like Daryl Rath has a broken neck, collar bone, and shoulder. His son Tucker (age 6?) also broke his neck. Cory Hansen also suffered a broken neck, and didn't make it.

The word is Cory Hansen was riding ahead of Daryl and his son, and for some reason Cory turned around and headed back. They collided around a corner or blind spot when Cory was backtracking to see why Daryl was not coming.

Please pray for all families involved in this tragic event.

 

Definetly Tragic... Prayer's are out for all involved... terrible...

I'd heard that Daryl only had broken arm... Can someone confirm his injuries? Wow.. If he's really that bad, i suppose he'll be out of racing for a while. I know he signed up to run the Super Moto event @ Stateline, Nevada the 1st week of April. My son is also signed up for it, and was looking forward to meeting him and seeing him ride...

Again this is really tragic... Sorry to hear about this accident.
