PSI testing at District 23 race
#1
Yesterday at Hurricane Hills MX park in Mezeppa, MN. Rath Racing was there testing some of the new powervalve motors for PSI. Daryl raced a PSI330r in the open class, winning both motos. The motor was very stong, pulling 462cc Banshee's in the holeshot. Another racer tested the PSI250 motor in the 250/440 class. But the Team Yamaha yzf400 quad was too much. Team Blue won both motos. Yamaha was also sporting a trick yzf250 motor in a quad frame. Very nice.

i've been looking at those kits but do you think they are worth that much money. the power has to be a big plus but the last i heard those kits where going for 2500 - 3000. i could be wrong about the price but i think that's right.

I did not ride the quad, so it would be hard for me to tell you if it is worth it or not. But I can tell you this. Minnesota District 23 is the largest AMA district in the country. With over 7,200 registered members yearly, MN turns out some very fast bike and quad racers. Many of our Quad A racer's compete at a Pro level in other series around the country. And to win in our district is very, very tough. So would I say that I was impressed with what I saw? Yes I would.
