I have an 86 trx250r.It is ported for lo-mid range, fmf gold series fatty pipe, power core 2 silencer, boyesen pro series reeds, uni filter,no airbox lid and is bored .020 over with wiseco piston. It runs fast and hard mid-top.But when coming out of corners it kinda acts like it is dead only for a second untill it gets in the power band.I know the pipe and silencer are more for mid-top than low-end but I love the power up top.I have it jetted perfect a nice brown color. It has pretty crisp throttle response,It needs to get going faster that is all.I have reed spacer on my blaster but it kills top-end.I am wondering will a hinson reed spacer do the same to my R?I am running 18/11/8 holeshot mx's and stock gearing.

moded out 6 trx250r
97 300ex
90 blaster

i have a friend that has spoken to cirtis sparks and they have told him that the spacers dont help but putting a newer reed cage from a CR which is just like the Vforcee cage it will gain 1 horse to you quad ........but it sounds like you need to change the clip on your needle it is to rich in the mid-range lower the clip at least 1 slit then try it. the color of you plug is more from the top end which is the main jet.
