Are four wheelers allowed on drag tracks, has anyone done this before?

Iowa Speedway on Sundays starting early summer.
1/4 Mile Pitroad, Great traction. Bring wheelie Bars.

 

Theres a few in Michigan that I run my quad on.

 

yea they are but unless you have a banshee i wldnt go lol. everything else will give you serious trouble keeping the front end on the ground.

 

Pretty sure there's a ds or two that would prove otherwise.

 

i am always hearing about ds over the internet but never actually seen one in real life or heard of them beating a banshee. Whats the scoop on thesed ds anyways?? are they supposedly super fast or something

There are two IHRA and NHRA Dragstrips near me that let ATV's and SXS's dragrace at Test & Tune sessions, bracket race in the motorcycle class and one of them even has a class that they started for ATV's to race in for points once a month.The tracks are Elk Creek Dragway in Va (Home) and Bristol Dragway in Bristol Tn.The dragstrip in Bristol also has a thursday night Street Fights event that they let ATV's race in.

I race my ATV's in flattrack races and ATV Rodeo's the majority of the time and the IHRA and NHRA tracks are a good place to make changes and see how it effects how they run since the dragstrips are well prepped with VHT and easy to make consistent passes on as well as give out good data on the timeslips.

As you can see my Polaris isn't setup for dragracing, but it does hold it's own against the other ATV's that I've raced against.

 

both tracks in nj have them on a regular basis...
