im 6'2 . 225 am i too big to race my trx450r
i used too race when i was little and i wanted too race again but my dad says im too big to hang with everyone else is this true? my 450 is stock but i plan to do some mods if i need too

 

A lot of people talk about horsepower to weight ratio when comparing quads. The more weight the slower a same weight quad is going to go. Better stated, the heavier the load (I'm 350) on the quad the longer it takes to get up to speed. It's kind of like the difference pulling an empty trailer and then pulling one with a ton in it. Takes more effort. If you were racing with someone who has the same exact quad as you, pretty much same talent, and he was 125 pounds he'd leave you behind at the start line.
