2 vs 4 stroke Hare Scramble Choice
#1
I have a blaster right now and in looking at getting into HS. The first year I will probably run that till I get some more money. Me and my dad know 2 strokes but I don't know if I should go 4 stroke for Hare scrambles. Banshee,250r vs 450's

Banshee=forget about it. Absolutely miserable experience in the northeast without major $$ put into it, and even then...
I actually have run my 250R in a few scrambles and the old girl does well but the 450s hold a few advantages. Still a good choice though even after all these years.

I have xc raced all of the quads you mentioned. The banshee is not the best choice at all. The blaster has a short wheel base , under powered an suspension is not up to the 250r and 450r. The 450r does pretty well depending on the suspension. The rear likes to kick if you ride hard compared to the 250R. The 250R needs to be "in shape" and not wore out. I found that my 450r with houser slicast long travel a-arms, axis shox, axis rear shock, aftermarket rear linkage made the 450r handle quite good. It would take a built 250r to hang with something like that. I went with a 350 powervalve roll design lobo chassis 250r. which is just getting into stupid money. back to reality... the 250r or 450r. my 1cent...
